Dear Scripps Ranch Pop Warner Parents:
Welcome to Scripps Ranch Pop Warner! We are very excited that your child will be playing football this season! Whether your son is a first time player or a seasoned veteran, we hope you will enjoy your experience with our organization.
TWO-WEEK MANDATORY CONDITIONING: Begins Monday, August 2nd for two weeks and amounts to 20 hours of conditioning. The first week is just in helmets and gym clothes. The second week is in full pads. Please try to schedule family vacations around this time period and we strongly recommend that your son begin to prepare for this at least one month prior to the start date. The conditioning will take place at the SRHS soccer field for the older divisions and Dingeman for the lower divisions.
Dates:
- Week 1 - Monday-Thursday | August 2 - 5 | 5:00-7:30 p.m.
- Week 2 - Monday-Thursday | August 9 - 12 | 5:00-7:30 p.m.
- Make-up days: Fridays | August 6 and 13
REGULAR PRACTICES: Four days per week for the week of August 16 and three days per week beginning the week of August 23. Practice days will be:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m
(except for Flag, which is 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.)
REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
- Complete uniform provided by SRPW and a jersey to keep
- Individual and Team picture package
- Pop Warner Insurance and assessment fees
- A minimum of 8 games and possible playoff game(s) with experienced coaches
UNIFORM COST: There is no cost for the helmets, practice and game uniforms, however, all equipment (excluding jersey) must be turned in at end of season or the family will be charged. Players must supply their own cleats, under-armor and mouth guard.
FORMS DUE at the next Equipment Distribution on July 22 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
- Completed physical form stamped and signed by physician
- Final school report card (except Jerabeck students)
